Napoli's Hirving "Chucky" Lozano and Wolverhampton Wanderers star Raul Jimenez were among the players selected for Mexico's upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Gerardo "Tata" Martino's side will host Canada on Oct. 7 and Honduras on Oct. 10 before closing out the window with a Oct. 13 visit to El Salvador.
Lozano and Jimenez both return to El Tri for the first time since suffering lengthy injuries.
Lozano suffered a eye injury following a collision during Mexico match with Trinidad and Tobago at Gold Cup in July 11. Speaking to ESPN, Lozano said he feared the worst after the injury.
"Many doctors told me that I could have lost my life and you feel very scared during those times because I would leave behind two children, a wife alone and it was a tough blow and makes you think of many things," he told ESPN.

Jimenez has been back in action for Wolves after missing a large part of the 2020-21 Premier League season after fracturing his skull against Arsenal last November.
Jimenez had been called up for the September qualifying matches but did not travel to due to ongoing quarantine restrictions from the United Kingdom. It remains to be seen if he make the trek for these matches.
Among the other star players called up are Club America's Guillermo Ochoa, Atletico Madrid's Hector Herrera, and Real Betis' Andres Guardado.
