Philip Billing joins Napoli on loan from Bournemouth

Philip Billing has joined Serie A side Napoli from Bournemouth on loan for the rest of the season, the Italian club announced on Saturday.

Napoli have an option to make the midfielder's transfer permanent at the end of the campaign.

Billing arrived at Bournemouth from Huddersfield Town in 2019. He played more than 200 games for the south coast club, scoring 31 goals.

However, the Denmark international has had limited playing time under head coach Andoni Iraola this season.

The 28-year-old joins Napoli under Antonio Conte as they challenge for the league title.

The move sees Billing join a growing list of former Premier League players at Napoli. Romelu Lukaku, Billy Gilmour and Scott McTominay all joined Conte's team in the summer.
