Mohun Bagan 3-0 Mohammedan SC

(Jamie Maclaren 8', Subhasish Bose 31', Greg Stewart 36')

Three goals, three points, clean sheet - Mohun Bagan finally had their ISL lift-off on Saturday evening with a convincing 3-0 win over Mohammedan SC in the first Kolkata derby of the season. Making his first league start of the season, Jamie Maclaren gave Bagan the perfect start with a header off a set-piece in the 8th minute. Subhasish Bose doubled the lead in the 31st with another header, before Greg Stewart scored with a precise finish to the bottom corner in the 36th minute to put Bagan out of reach before the first half ended.

Jamshedpur FC 2-0 East Bengal

(Rei Tachikawa 21', Lalchungnunga (OG) 70')

Jamshedpur FC piled on East Bengal's misery as they handed the Kolkata giants a 2-0 drubbing, which marks their fourth successive loss of the season. East Bengal, now led by assistant coach Bino George after Carles Cuadrat's departure, were down a goal in the 21st minute when Rei Tachikawa found the back of the net with a stunning strike from distance. The Japanese midfielder's first goal of the season gave Khalid Jamil's men the all-important lead and Albino Gomes pulled off a string of brilliant saves, the best coming in the 64th minute to deny Saul Crespo from the spot.

Jamshedpur's lead doubled in the 70th minute when Lal Chungnunga turned in Imran Khan's cross into his net. With their third win of the season, Jamshedpur have climbed to the third spot while East Bengal remain at the bottom of the table and are the only team among the 13 to not have a single point to their name.

FC Goa 3-3 NorthEast United

(Armando Sadiku 45+2' (P), 47', Borja Herrera 90+4' - Nestor Albiach 6', 51', Alaeddine Ajaraie 56')

NorthEast were off the blocks in superb fashion, scoring the opener in the sixth minute. Nestor Albiach collected a long ball forward in the right channel, before cutting inside Aakash Sangwan and running into the box. The Spaniard sat three Goan defenders down as he patiently held on to the ball, before lashing it home with his left foot to give NEUFC the lead. Goa laboured for the rest of the half, and ought to have equalized in the 38th minute, only for Armando Sadiku to sky the ball over from a couple of yards out. The equalizer did come on the stroke of half time however, as Sadiku made up for his error with an unerring penalty in the second minute of stoppage time.

Goa then turned the game on it's head a couple of minutes after the break, Sadiku slamming in a low cross from Ayush Chhetri into the bottom corner to give the hosts a 2-1 lead. However, some poor defending saw Goa give up the lead almost immediately, Jithin NS and Alaeddine Ajaraie combining superbly to set up Nestor in the box, and he toe-poked a powerful finish past Laxmikant Kattimani to make it 2-2. Ajaraie then underlined the topsy-turvy nature of the game, making it 3-2 in the 56th minute with a superb run and curled finish into the side netting, after cutting inside from the right. Goa huffed and puffed, but just as it looked like NEUFC had won the game, Borja curled a late equalizer from the edge of the box to make it 3-3 in injury time.

Odisha FC 2-2 Kerala Blasters

(Alexandre Coeff (OG) 29', Diego Mauricio 36'; Noah Sadaoui 18', Jesus Jimenez 21')

Odisha FC fought back from two goals down to earn a point in a 2-2 draw with Kerala Blasters FC in an end-to-end clash at the Kalinga Stadium on Thursday night. Noah Sadaoui and Jesus Jimenez combined superbly to put the Blasters in charge of the game within the first 21 minutes, as they nothced up a goal and an assist each. However, an Alexandre Coeff own goal and a nice finish from Diego Mauricio meant that Odisha were back level in the 36th minute.

In the second half, both teams had legitimate claims for a penalty denied by the referee. First, Rahim Ali was involved in a tangle with Milos Drincic and then Noah was brought down by Amey Ranawade in the box, but in both cases, the referee chose not to point to the spot, as an entertaining game finished with a point apiece.

Bengaluru FC 0-0 Mumbai City FC

Bengaluru FC became the first ISL team to start a season with four clean sheets, earning a 0-0 draw away to Mumbai City FC.

Playing to a sold-out crowd at the Mumbai Football Arena, the hosts ought to have taken the lead in the 13th minute. Nikolaos Karelis had the freedom of the box to head in a cross from the right, but could only find Gurpreet Singh Sandhu with his header. Edgar Mendez and Tiri forced saves from both keepers, but the sides went into the break goalless.

Chances were few and far between in the game, and Mumbai came closest in the second half in the 78th minute, Tiri watching as his volley from point-blank range from an indirect free-kick cannoned off the crossbar. Sivasakthi Narayanan also spurned the chance to win the game for BFC in injury time, opting to shoot from a narrow angle when he could have squared it to Naorem Roshan present all alone in the box - thus confirming the 0-0 result.

Hyderabad FC 0-0 Chennaiyin FC

Hyderabad FC earned their first point of the 2024-25 ISL season with a goalless draw in their first home game of the season. It was another disappointing night out for Owen Coyle's team who couldn't break Hyderabad down, despite playing around 20 minutes against 10 players following Parag Shrivas's red card for his second bookable offence.

Hyderabad's captain Alex Saji had an immense game for them at centre-back, despite having to play around 70 minutes on a yellow card. Chennaiyin had 6 shots on target and 13 shots overall, but Arshdeep Singh had only one real difficult save to make - the same number as his opposite number Samik Mitra.

It was a disappointing result for Chennaiyin, who have now picked up only one out of six available points from their last two games against Mohammedan SC and Hyderabad, which has quite taken the sheen off their superb opening day win over Odisha FC.
