Barcelona have signed Senegal defender Mamadou Fall on a permanent transfer from LAFC

The 21-year-old spent last season on loan with Barça's reserves, Barça Atlètic, from the Californian club.

"FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with Los Angeles FC for the transfer of Mamadou Mbacke Fall on a two-year contract through to 30 June 2026, with the option to extend it to two more," Barça said in a statement.

A youth product of LAFC, Fall played 21 games for Barça Atlètic, starting in 19.

LAFC Co-President & General Manager John Thorrington believes Barça is a great fit for the talented centre-back.

"Fall is a player with incredible potential and exceptional talent," he said.

"He began his professional journey at LAFC, and we are excited to see him join not only one of the top clubs in the world but also a great environment for his continued development."

Fall made 42 appearances across all competitions for LAFC, registering six goals and one assist. He also spent one-year on loan at LaLiga's Villarreal.
