Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno ignoring transfer speculation

Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno is not interested in discussing his contract situation amid links with RB Leipzig, Liverpool and Real Madrid in German media.

Leno, 24, is one of four keepers -- alongside Kevin Trapp, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Hannover's Ron-Robert Zieler -- competing for a place in German's Euro 2016 squad to rival No.1 Manuel Neuer.

The Leverkusen shot-stopper has not conceded in his last four Bundesliga appearances and has been part of the club's revival as they edge closer to a return to the Champions League.

Bayer are ranked fourth which need they must compete in the playoffs to return to the group stages of Europe's biggest club competition.

Although Leno is under contract until 2018, a reported release clause of €18 million, which has to be triggered in April, has seen him linked with future Bundesliga-bound club RB Leipzig in recent weeks.

Local tabloid Express reported on Tuesday that Liverpool and Real Madrid are also interested in the former Stuttgart keeper.

Speaking to reporters, Leno said he "won't discuss the contents of his contract" with the media.

When asked whether his Leverkusen future hinges on whether the club qualifies for the Champions League, he said: "Let's wait and see. Let yourself be surprised."
