Marseille midfielder Lassana Diarra says reports that he plans to move to Italy during the January transfer window are unfounded.
Diarra, 30, has recently been linked with a move to both Serie A leaders Inter Milan and defending Italian champions Juventus after rejuvenating his career at the Stade Velodrome, with some Italian outlets supporting their stories with comments from someone presented as the player's agent.
However, Diarra used his official Twitter account to refute such stories on Sunday -- pointing out that the person quoted did not represent his interests.
"Mr Marijo Knez is not and has NEVER been my agent... the rumours of a potential departure this winter are false," he wrote in a tweet that was later deleted.
Diarra spent last season without a team following a contract dispute with his previous club Lokomotiv Moscow.
But the former Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid player has excelled since returning to France over the summer, scoring a great goal in Marseille's 6-0 win over Troyes in August before being voted Ligue 1's player of the month for September.
He then earned a recall to the France squad after a five-year absence and came on in the 2-0 loss in a friendly against England at Wembley just days after losing his cousin in November's terror attacks in Paris.
