Manchester City have been given another injury worry with Fabian Delph having pulled out of the England squad to face France on Tuesday.
The midfielder, who is yet to start a competitive game since signing from Aston Villa in the summer, is now be a doubt for Saturday's home game against Liverpool.
Delph has already had two hamstring injuries this season, including one 17 minutes into first his City appearance in July's friendly defeat to Real Madrid.
His only start since then came in England's 2-0 loss to Spain on Friday and while manager Manuel Pellegrini hoped he would get closer to match sharpness on international duty, he has been ruled out of the France game.
"We lost Fabian Delph," manager Roy Hodgson confirmed at a news conference.
Delph, who has only made three appearances for City since his £8 million move from Villa, is one of several injury concerns for the Premier League leaders.
Captain Vincent Kompany pulled out of the Belgium squad for their friendlies against Italy and Spain, although the match against Vicente del Bosque's team was subsequently cancelled because of security fears.
Pellegrini is also hoping that Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Samir Nasri and Pablo Zabaleta will be fit to return against Jurgen Klopp's team.
Top scorer Aguero, who has missed City's last seven games with a hamstring injury, is back in training.
