Champions League: Manchester City-Real Madrid, Juventus-Lyon postponed

UEFA has postponed the Manchester City vs. Real Madrid and Juventus vs. Lyon Champions League round-of-16 second-leg games scheduled for Tuesday because of fears over the coronavirus.

The Real Madrid squad was taken into isolation on Thursday and all activity at their training ground was suspended after one of the club's basketball players tested positive for the coronavirus.

The games scheduled for next Wednesday, Barcelona vs. Napoli and Bayern Munich vs. Chelsea, are set to go ahead.

UEFA's decision follows a raft of postponements across global football, including MLS, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and several international friendlies.

Earlier in the week, Manchester City's Premier League game against Arsenal was postponed. On Thursday, Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers announced that three of his players are in self-isolation after showing coronavirus symptoms.

UEFA will discuss the postponement of Euro 2020 and potential cancellation of this season's Champions League and Europa League during an emergency video conference involving all 55 European football associations next Tuesday, sources have told ESPN.
