England manager Sarina Wiegman said she will "rotate a lot" ahead of facing Switzerland in the Lioness' last game of 2024, just 72 hours after holding the United States to a 0-0 draw at Wembley.

England will be without Chloe Kelly and Fran Kirby, who both suffered injuries after coming off the bench during the stalemate with the United States.

"Unfortunately, they picked [injuries] up during the game," Wiegman told a news conference on Monday. "Chloe is into the concussion protocol. She had that knock, and unfortunately, Fran picked up a calf injury.

"It is very disappointing. First of all, for them, and for us too, and of course, for the clubs, that they are not available next weekend."

Due to the recent injuries -- alongside the absences of Lauren Hemp, Lauren James, Niamh Charles and Ella Toone -- and the tight turnaround following facing the United States on Saturday, Wiegman insisted that she will rotate the squad heavily.

"We'll rotate a lot. We will change," she continued. "It's another moment. As we have said all the time, we play four friendlies in this period.

"It gives opportunities for us to try out things to play many players. So, absolutely, we need this game to try out these things. We still have seven months to go, but yes, we want to get as much information as possible and develop our style of play and experience where we're at.

"It's the finding balance, I think. It's truly a moment to experiment. The Nation's League, of course, you go out there to play and win, but also playing games developing anyway but will balance more to winning those games."

Facing the 2025 Euros hosts in Sheffield, it will be Wiegman's last friendly before the start of the Nations League in February, where England will face Portugal, Belgium and Spain, who defeated the Lionesses in the 2023 World Cup final.

After booking their place in the 2025 Euros in the summer, England were able to play four friendlies across the last two international breaks to prepare for the summer tournament.

The Lionesses were defeated 4-3 by Germany before securing a 2-1 win over South Africa and the 0-0 draw in Emma Hayes' return to Wembley as the United States women's national team head coach.

Following the draw with the United States, Wiegman said England would make "small tweaks" ahead of Tuesday's clash with Switzerland, wanting to see more from her players, including getting the wingers higher and winning the ball back further up the pitch.

"I think, of course, we took a lot of learnings from Saturday. I think tomorrow will be a different game with different challenges," she said.

"I do expect, first of all, that Switzerland will play in another shape and what we have seen from them, that they drop deeper, quicker a little bit, so we expect to have the ball more.

"From the USA game, we had about 20 minutes [in the second half] that we kept the ball.

"We want to get those minutes longer, not 20 minutes. The ideal world is 90 minutes, but with those big occasions, that's hard. At some moments, I think we defended really well, but can we win the ball at moments a little higher on the pitch? That's something that we would like to do, too."
