England goalkeeper Mary Earps has joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer from Manchester United, the French club announced on Monday.
Earps has signed a contract until the end of the 2025-26 season at PSG after her deal at Old Trafford, which she had previously held talks to extend, expired at the end of June.
"Joining Paris Saint-Germain is a fantastic opportunity. I'm very honoured to become a Parisian and I can't wait to play alongside my new team-mates," Earps said in a statement.
"Together, we're going to give our all to help the club shine and make our fans proud. I'm determined to contribute to our future success so that Paris Saint-Germain continues to rank among Europe's top clubs."
This will be Earps' second stint outside England, after she spent the 2018-19 season with Wolfsburg. She moved to United the following year and went on to make 102 appearances in all competitions across her four years at the club.
Sources have told ESPN that United believe they made Earps a strong offer but her desire for silverware and to play Champions League football drew her towards PSG.
The 31-year-old won the Women's Super League Golden Glove award in the 2022-2023 season, with her 14 clean-sheets setting a new league record.
Earps played a key role in the club's FA Cup triumph last season -- the first major trophy in their history. She made a string of superb saves in their semifinal win over Chelsea and went on to keep a clean-sheet in the final against Tottenham.
During her time at United, Earps lifted the Euros with England in 2022 and won the Golden Glove at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. She saved a penalty in the final against Spain, but couldn't prevent England from losing 1-0.
Widely recognised as one of the top goalkeepers in the world, Earps won the The Best FIFA Women's Goalkeeper award in January for the second successive time. In December last year, she was voted the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
PSG have an available non-EU player quota place available for Earps, with Tabitha Chawinga departing after her one-year loan spell and Eva Gaetino having a Hungarian passport through a relative.
