Ikhsan Fandi may have been celebrating his first goals in the AFC Champions League -- and taking BG Pathum United a step closer to the Round of 16 -- on Sunday in a 3-1 win over United City.

But the Singapore international was left to rue his inability have just scored another to claim a brand new gaming console.

Ikhsan's clinical double on Sunday, which came after Diogo's opener, effectively sealed a third win of the campaign for BGPU by halftime, although he missed out on a neat hat-trick bonus -- not from the club but teammate Andres Tunez.

"I lost out on a bet with Tunez," he said with a laugh, according to the AFC's official website.

"He said if I scored a hat-trick he'd buy me a PS5 tonight, but it didn't happen, so I missed out on that one."

Incentives from fellow players aside, Ikhsan would have welcomed his two-goal showing as it finally saw him get off the mark in Asia's premier club competition in his third appearance of the campaign.

The 23-year-old is part of a increasingly fearsome BGPU attack, also boasting Brazilian star Diogo and legendary Thai marksman Teerasil Dangda, that is promising to take the team far in the tournament this season.

"I'm a striker. My job is to score goals, but also to help the team as much as I can," added Ikhsan.

"In the first game it wasn't easy to get a goal but if I can contribute in some other ways, I'm happy to do so.

"But it is nice to get the goals out of the way. I was trying to go for a hat-trick today, but I didn't come."

BG Pathum currently find themselves top of Group G and they can seal a second consecutive appearance in the knockout round on Wednesday, if they can claim a victory over second-placed Melbourne City in their penultimate match of the group stage.
