There was a real intergalactic feel to Tijuana's Liga MX game against Monterrey on Friday evening.
To herald the launch of new Star Wars movie "The Rise of Skywalker," Tijuana staged a similarly themed night at the Estadio Caliente when they played Monterrey on Friday.

As part of the festivities, the two teams were escorted on to the pitch by stormtroopers, who also joined Tijuana for their prematch team photo.

The half-time entertainment also featured a mild lightsaber duel of sorts, while there were also intermittent Wookie growls ringing around the stadium to really add to the feeling the match was taking place in a galaxy far, far away.

Unfortunately, the force was not with Tijuana who fell to a 4-0 defeat in front of their own fans, with Monterrey taking all three points and rising above their opponents in the table as a result.
