Neymar has failed to make the top 10 in an ESPN Brasil poll to decide the country's greatest footballer since Pele.
The poll was carried out after magazine "Placar," marking a decade of the Paris Saint-Germain star's career, called him the best Brazilian player since Pele.
After 160,000 votes were cast in the ESPN Brasil poll, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Romario made up the top three, followed by Zico, Rivaldo, Socrates and Kaka.
Neymar, who finished 11th, was the only player with more negative than positive votes as he failed to make a top 10 that also included Falcao and Careca.
Meanwhile, the Paris Saint-Germain forward is hopeful of recovering from injury in time to play in the Champions League quarterfinals if his teammates get past Manchester United.
Neymar was ruled out for 10 weeks after suffering a metatarsal fracture in his right foot during the 2-0 French Cup win over Strasbourg on Jan. 23 but the 27-year-old is aiming to be back for a prospective first leg game on April 9-10.
Speaking to Brazilian YouTube show "Fui Clear" last weekend, he said: "It's getting better.
"We have already done several treatments, some procedures in order to improve it as quickly as possible and we are happy with the progress and with how things are going.
"I can't wait to do what I love to do the most in my life, which is to play football."
