Bayern CEO Rummenigge delivers on his promise to Ingolstadt

Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has delivered on his promise by providing a supply of Bavarian delicacy Weisswurst to local rivals Ingolstadt.

Rummenigge had promised "a wagon load of Weisswurst and wheat beer" for Ingolstadt's favour in beating nearest challengers Leipzig 1-0 last month, a result that enabled Bayern to assume their current position atop the Bundesliga after languishing in second spot for 21 days.

After hearing of the shock result, Rummenigge said: "We are lucky to have such good neighbours."

And six weeks after his tasty pledge, Rummenigge was as good as his word -- delivering ample Bavarian delicacies, such as Weisswurst sausage and pretzels, to feed 80 Ingolstadt staff.

"We really worked hard for these sausages," FCI CEO Harald Gartner told Bild. "There was also wheat beer for the club officials. We showed we're good neighbours."
