Manchester United have sold left-back Reece James to Wigan Athletic.
James, 21, has signed a three-year deal at the DW Stadium in a move that could reportedly earn United up to £1 million.
The defender made a solitary competitive appearance for United, in the 4-0 defeat to MK Dons in the Capital One Cup in August 2014.
But he had been on the bench for Louis van Gaal's first league game in charge, the 2-1 defeat to Swansea, after impressing on last summer's preseason tour of the United States.
James had spells on loan at Championship clubs Rotherham and Huddersfield last season but fell below Luke Shaw, Daley Blind, Tyler Blackett and Marcos Rojo in the queue for the left-back position,
New summer signing Matteo Darmian can also play the same role, having featured on the left flank for Torino.
Wigan, who were relegated to League One last season, are undergoing an overhaul under new manager Gary Caldwell with Scott Carson, Ali Al-Habsi, James McClean, Martyn Waghorn, Rob Kiernan and James Tavernier among those leaving.
