Tottenham eye PSG's Lucas Moura but January deal unlikely - source

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura but do not currently expect to sign him this month, a source has told ESPN FC.

Moura, 25, has been told to find a new club after making just six appearances this season.

Head coach Unai Emery told Marca: "I spoke with Lucas. With all respect towards him, I think that he has no other options here and should look for another club, because he's a great player."

Moura has told L'Equipe he is unhappy at PSG and described his limited playing time as "a brutal blow."

He said: "I'm gutted that I'm no longer playing, to no longer be able to express myself as I was doing before.

"But it doesn't matter where I end up, I know what I'm capable of. I didn't become an international by chance."

L'Equipe suggested Moura, who earns around £75,000-a-week at the Parc des Princes, is valued at €30 million by PSG.

At present, Spurs do not expect Moura to join this month, although they have a longstanding interest in him and will continue to monitor his situation in the final days of the winter window.

The player's agent, Herminio Menendez, told Estadio Deportivo that Real Betis were interested and added: "A Premier League move over Betis? I am not aware of anything like that.

"There are several clubs in England interested in Lucas, though. We will have to see how it develops."

Le Parisien reported that Betis had made an offer of €18m plus bonuses, taking the deal to around €30m.

Spurs are also interested in Bordeaux winger Malcom, 20, but the Ligue 1 strugglers have said he will not leave this month.

"Malcom will stay with Bordeaux this winter, that is a certainty," president Stephane Martin told SFR Sport.

"We have no discussions at this stage with Tottenham, nor any other club. There is no chance of him leaving."

Information from ESPN FC's Jonathan Johnson was used in this report.
