TOP STORY: Real, Barca battle for Alaba, Haaland
Real Madrid and Barcelona are going head to head for Bayern Munich's David Alaba and Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland, reports AS.
The Spanish giants have both held long-term interests in the pair, and it seems they are among the frontrunners to land either or both of the Bundesliga stars.
Alaba has been the No. 1 target for Los Blancos due to concerns over the futures of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane, but Joan Laporta's election as new president of Barcelona appears to have brought them back into contention for the 28-year-old defender.
A whole host of clubs want Haaland, but the report says that Barca and Real Madrid are set for a titanic battle to land Haaland, the 20-year-old Norwegian striker. AS states that Real Madrid are in the best position, ahead of both Manchester clubs and Chelsea, due to their relationships with Dortmund and agent Mino Raiola hopes to build a relationship an push through the deal.
Real Madrid remain optimistic about their chances of signing either Haaland or Kylian Mbappe, according to Marca.
The newspaper claims that "money isn't everything" when it comes to agreeing a deal for European football's hottest prospects, and while Madrid "know they'll receive superior financial offers" elsewhere, the club hope that "affinity or a liking for a team could be what tips the balance."

19.30 GMT: Twenty-one-year-old Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Cuisance joined Marseille on a season-long loan in October, with the French club possessing an €18m option to make the move permanent, but Sport Bild quotes the France U20 international as saying that he has no plans on returning to Bavaria: "My wish is to stay with [Marseille]," Cuisance said.
17.01 GMT: Emile Smith Rowe may be turning into something of a hero for Arsenal this season, but did you know he could be playing for Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur? The 20-year-old midfielder has told the Daily Mail how he was rejected by the Blues as a youth player, apparently because he was too small.
"I trialled at Chelsea and didn't get in," Smith Rowe said. "Something about me not being big enough, I've heard. But Arsenal found out and picked me up. They were flexible, too. They knew I lived far away and told me to come in when I could. Tottenham showed interest but I stood by Arsenal. They're my club."
16.19 GMT: Gazzetta dello Sport goes big on AC Milan transfer news today. The paper believes CSKA Moscow midfielder Nikola Vlasic is at the top of Milan's wanted list this summer -- but they would have to find €30m to bring him in.
Talks have already begun between the clubs but the move for the Croatia international may rely on the Rossoneri qualifying for the Champions League next season. They are in a very strong position, second in the table with a six-point cushion over fifth-placed Napoli (who have a game in hand).
Vlasic cost Everton €10.8m in 2017 before he moved to CSKA for €16m in 2019. He has netted 11 goals in 27 games for the Russian side this season.

15.35 GMT: Barcelona are tracking young Uruguay striker Nicolas Siri, who has scored four goals in his first two top-flight starts for Danubio FC. Mundo Deportivo reports that Barca have been following Siri for a while and have been impressed by how effortlessly he has adapted to senior football.
Siri, 16, debuted for the first team at the end of 2020 before making his first start last week against Nacional, when he scored the equaliser in a 2-1 win. He followed that up with a hat trick in Friday's 5-1 win against Boston River.
Barca have an extensive scouting team in South America and have increased their coverage of Uruguay in recent years. That subsequently led to the signings of Santiago Bueno (now at Girona) and Ronald Araujo, with Siri the latest player to catch their eye.

14.14 GMT: Kostas Tsimikas has struggled to make an impact at Liverpool, even with their injury problems, since joining from Olympiakos last summer.
The 24-year-old left-back has made only one Premier League appearance, and he has been linked with a €15m move to Napoli in the summer.
Now the coach of the Greece national team has weighed in, suggesting it will be much better for Tsimikas to leave Liverpool for first-team football.
"He is a good player, a young defensive winger who plays very well," John van't Schip said. "He had a great season always as a starter [at Olympiakos]. I understand the interest of important clubs, if Napoli is one of them it would be equally understandable.
"Napoli are among the most important clubs in Italy, for Tsimikas it would be an important step. He has the qualities to reach great levels."
13.29 GMT: David Moyes says that West Ham United have not yet discussed the possibility of making Jesse Lingard's loan a permanent switch.
Lingard, 28, has been a revelation since joining the Hammers from Manchester United in January. The forward's electric form has earned him a recall into the England squad for this month's World Cup qualifiers.
"We have not thought about that really, we have not taken it any further at the moment," Moyes said. "We have him on loan and he is doing a good job for us just now.
"I think we will discuss that and probably look at it at the end of the season but it is not something that we have taken any further than the situation we are in just now."
12.40 GMT: Super-agent Jorge Mendes has added highly rated Barcelona youngster Alejandro Balde to his portfolio of players. Polaris Sports, Mendes' agency, announced the partnership with the left-back on Instagram on Friday. "A new star joins the team," the post said.
Balde, 17, has broken into Barca's B team this season and has already been earmarked as a long-term replacement for Jordi Alba at Camp Nou. Plans are in place for him to do preseason with the first team. Mendes' first job will be to negotiate a new deal for Balde, with his contract due to expire in 2022.
Mendes also represents Barca forward Ansu Fati, who is currently out injured. Like Balde, Ansu, 18, is out of contract in 2022, although there is an option to extend his deal by an additional two years.
11.51 GMT: It looks like Eric Bailly's time at Manchester United is coming to a close, with the Daily Mirror reporting that the central defender is angry at being left out of the Europa League victory at AC Milan on Thursday having played in the first leg.
Bailly, 26, is set to turn down the offer of a 12-month contract extension and look for a way out of Old Trafford. The Ivory Coast international has been nothing more than a bit-part player under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, starting only four Premier League games last season and eight so far in this campaign. He has not played more than 18 games in all competitions in the last four seasons.
11.02 GMT: Calciomercato reckons that Juventus could make a move for Paul Pogba again in the summer.
On Friday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said the 28-year-old is enjoying life at Manchester United but refused to be drawn on the midfielder's long-term future with contract talks planned further down the line.
The report states that Juventus are continuing to closely follow developments, hot on the heels of the France international scoring the only goal in United's Europa League win at AC Milan on Thursday. Pogba has just over a year remaining on his deal at old Trafford.
10.19 GMT: Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move to both Liverpool and Real Madrid, but L'Equipe reports that Paris Saint-Germain are on the verge of pinning him down to a new contract. Mbappe, 22, is set to be offered a package that will earn him €30m a year -- far more than any of their rivals would be able to pay the France international.
09.30 GMT: New Barcelona president Joan Laporta has a lot of pressing matters waiting in his in-tray, one of which is a new contract for starlet Ilaix Moriba. The 18-year-old midfielder is being tracked by both Manchester United and RB Leipzig, and with his contract expiring in June 2022 there are doubts about his long-term future.
Mundo Deportivo reports that his father and agent, Mamady, has reassured Laporta that the Spain under-17 international intends to sign a new deal -- as long as there are no surprises.
PAPER ROUND: Werner prefers Chelsea over Dortmund
While Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich seems willing to splash the cash to bring in Erling Haaland, Christian Falk of Bild reports that Timo Werner won't be sold to finance the deal.
Werner has had more downs than ups in his first season at Stamford Bridge, but the ex-RB Leipzig star has no interest in returning to Germany and playing for Dortmund.
While the 25-year-old striker has not had everything his own way since moving to London, it looks as though he'll fight to remain in the Premier League.
PSG seeking to sign Depay
Paris Saint-Germain are hoping to sign Lyon forward Memphis Depay in the summer, reports Le Parisien.
The Netherlands international's contract with Lyon comes to an end at the end of the season, allowing him to leave on a free transfer.
PSG are likely to have plenty of competition for the signing of the 27-year-old, with a plethora of sides having been linked in the past, including Barcelona and Juventus.
If Depay is hoping to gain further interest from PSG, he'll have the opportunity to get it on Sunday, as he comes up against Mauricio Pochettino's side.

- Milot Rashica is expected to leave Werder Bremen during the summer transfer window, as reported by Bild. The Kosovo international was linked with Aston Villa last term, but the two clubs could not come to an agreement in time for a move to be completed. The 24-year-old has endured injury struggles this term, and with his contract coming to an end in the summer of 2022, the Bundesliga outfit are hoping he can impress to gain more interest.
- Tottenham Hotspur have made attempts to pay off Danny Rose's contract, reports Football Insider. The left-back stated that his deal would have to be paid in full for that to happen, leading to negotiations falling through. His contract comes to an end in June, so it shouldn't be too long until the 30-year-old leaves Spurs. He has not played for Tottenham since January 2020 and spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle United.
