          Coronavirus lockdown: Messi's son holds Easter egg aloft like World Cup

          With almost all football postponed indefinitely because of the coronavirus pandemic, star players have found themselves at a loose end.

          With many training grounds off-limits, clubs have sent footballers home, where they're adhering to an isolation period for the next few weeks. How are they passing the time?

          ESPN will be keeping a daily eye on what the world's best are up to, as well as how clubs are keeping busy by battling in online competitions against each other.

          Barcelona star Messi and the family came together to celebrate Easter on Sunday with some traditional chocolate eggs. Youngest Ciro (centre) seemed very happy with the present and celebrated like he was lifting the World Cup trophy. Perhaps one day we'll see his father do the same with Argentina...

          Cristiano Ronaldo

          Over in Madeira, Juventus forward Ronaldo celebrated with an altogether less traditional plate of food and not a piece of chocolate in sight and then followed it up with a workout which was rudely interrupted.

          Dele Alli

          Alli celebrated his 24th birthday on Saturday, and while he was unfortunately confined to his house all day, the Tottenham forward did at least mark the occasion with an excellent PlayStation cake.

          Wayne Bridge

          To help pass a little time, former Chelsea full-back Bridge attempted the "Flip the Switch" challenge with partner Frankie, who was formerly a member of girl group The Saturdays.

          Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels

          Former Bayern Munich teammates Muller and Hummels, the latter of whom now plays for Borussia Dortmund, became adversaries once again as they went head-to-head in a series of challenges, all via video call.

          Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

          Liverpool midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain saw his morning yoga session interrupted by a gang of adorable canine interlopers.

          Captured by pop star girlfriend Perrie Edwards, Oxlade-Chamberlain showed all those who do goat yoga that there's only one four-legged show in town.

          Carlo Ancelotti

          Manager Ancelotti was suitably impressed enough to praise this little Everton fan, who was out on the streets with a microphone trying to keep morale up with a chant plucked straight from the Goodison terraces.

          Hopefully it won't be much longer before those chants are heard again in the stadium, and we imagine one little fan will get himself a special tour once everything is back up and running again.

          Marcos Llorente raises €8k with shirt sale

          Marcos Llorente is doing his bit to help the fight against COVID-19 by auctioning off the very shirt he was wearing when he scored twice against Liverpool in the Champions League. Atleti won 3-2 at Anfield, with Llorente scoring two late goals to knock Liverpool out of the competition.

          He had already named his dog "Anfield" in honour of the game, but Llorente also donated his jersey to an auction organised by the Spanish Basketball Clubs' Association (ACB), who sold it on eBay over the weekend and raised €8,100 for charity.

          The shirt was one of the most popular items included in the auction, which also saw lots donated by tennis legend Rafael Nadal and NBA star Pau Gasol, as well as a pair of trainers signed by the late Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers.

          Overall, the various sales raised almost €150,000 in total.

          Eden Hazard is all of us

          Real Madrid star Hazard has revealed that just like everybody else, he is struggling to resist the lure of quick snacks while cooped up in quarantine.

          The former Chelsea winger was widely criticised for being overweight on his arrival in Spain and has since struggled with fitness woes, undergoing surgery on his ankle just last month.

          "It's difficult for me too!" Hazard exclaimed during a video chat with Belgian broadcasters RTBF. "You try not to eat too much, you try not to go to the cookie cupboard too often. But it's not easy!"

          The 28-year-old also went through his workout regime as he continues to rehab following his operation.

          "I do a lot with the physiotherapist via video," he said. "They're floor exercises; I try to do things with my ankle. I am privileged. I have a big house. We can play indoors, in the garden, in the swimming pool."

          Re-creating England at Italia '90

          Having already mastered an array of classic wonder goals in their first video offering, the children of former professional footballer Sean O'Hanlon returned to the back garden to re-create various highlights from England's run at Italia '90.

          Pumas' Vigon goes wild over eLiga MX

          Want to see a sign that players are missing the competition and nervous energy that they thrive on? Look no further than Pumas' Juan Pablo Vigon.

          The 28-year-old netted a late winner against Pachuca -- the game finished 2-1 -- on Sunday in the opening round of games in eLiga MX's 2020 Clausura on FIFA 20. And when the final whistle blew, he let off some steam.

          The scene was videoed and put on Instagram by Vigon's wife Natalie and, with real football on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, it soon went viral. Another Instagram story showed Vigon celebrating a goal by sliding down the kitchen table, before he realized it had been disallowed and endured a shuffle of shame back to his seat.

          Vigon's performance, on and off the "field," became a talking point on the sports shows in Mexico.

          "I was more nervous than in a normal game, I was really nervous," Vigon told ESPN's Futbol Picante after the game. "I woke up early, started to practice and I let out all the pressure in the celebration.

          "I'm the same in FIFA as I am on the pitch, I get animated, I go crazy and I think that was seen today. I was calm and even minutes before [the game] I said (to myself), 'It's on open TV, let's be calm, relaxed, don't say stupid stuff, nothing.' Instead, I went off, I went crazy and did the celebration, but I'm happy, I had fun and saw that everyone else did as well."

          It's probably worth doing a "live inside the Vigon residence" the next time the midfielder takes to the control pad.
