Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario is trying his best to persuade Cristiano Ronaldo to quit Real Madrid and join him at Inter Milan.
The 24-year-old made the move to join Inter from Sporting CP in August 2016 in a deal that was worth €45 million.
Together the two won the European Championship last year with Portugal, and the Inter man hopes that his close friendship with the Madrid star will sway the Ballon d'Or winner to move to the Serie A.
"Portugal have a lot of quality, but Cristiano Ronaldo is obviously our talisman, our most important player," Joao Mario told Inter channel.
"I am trying to talk him into joining me at Inter! Let's just say it is difficult!
"He is not just a teammate -- he is also a friend, a good person and a born leader. He is a great guy who cares about everyone.
"Euro 2016 was a unique experience. I have always dreamt of winning something with my country, but I would never have imagined it happening the way it did."
