Andriy Yarmolenko under renewed Tottenham interest - sources

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to step up their efforts to sign Dynamo Kiev attacking midfielder Andriy Yarmolenko, sources have told ESPN FC.

Yarmolenko, 25, has been a long-term target for Tottenham after catching the eye for club and country over the last few years.

The Ukraine international had the joint-most assists in the Europa League last season -- tied with Luciano Vietto with six -- as Dinamo reached the quarterfinals of the competition.

Yarmolenko has recently indicated he has no plans to extend his contract at Kiev with his current deal having just a year to run on it.

Dynamo are reluctant to lose their prize asset, but could be tempted to cash-in on him rather than risk seeing him leave on a free at the end of his contract.

A number of Premier League clubs have been chasing Yarmolenko with Stoke making a bid for the talented winger, but Tottenham are ready to make a move to bring him to White Hart Lane.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has so far bolstered his defence this summer with three new signings and he is desperate to add to his attacking options and sees Yarmolenko who would fit in with his style of play.
