With a good amount of free time on his hands, former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers used a recent weekend to jet off to New York with girlfriend Charlotte Searle.
It was there that, according to The Sun, Rodgers summoned up enough character to hand Searle a bouquet of roses, drop down to a knee and propose to Searle right smack dab in the middle of Times Square, much to the delight of the surrounding gawking tourists.

As is the case in just about every other corner of the planet, there happened to be a Liverpool fan present, and thus described the romantic scene.
"I saw this bloke proposing and took snaps to show my girlfriend," said Craig Allen to The Sun. "I was gobsmacked when I saw it was Rodgers. They stopped off in a Mercedes, he popped the question in front of a photographer, put the ring on, and away they went."
Sounds like a fairytale beginning.
