Spurs get Clarke, first signing in 18 months

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Leeds United winger Jack Clarke in a deal worth a reported £10 million.

Clarke, 18, passed a medical last week and will be loaned back to the Championship side for next season.

- When does the transfer window close?

He becomes Spurs' first signing since the arrival of Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018.

"I'm delighted to join Tottenham and in the short term I'll be giving my all to hopefully help Leeds win promotion," Clarke said.

Clarke, who has put pen to paper on a contract until 2023, underwent stringent tests after he collapsed in the dugout during a match in February and was taken to hospital with a suspected seizure.

He made 25 appearances for Leeds last season, 20 of them as a substitute, scoring twice to help them reach the Championship playoffs, in which they were beaten by Derby.
