Tomas Rosicky returns to Sparta Prague on free transfer

Ex-Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has rejoined former club Sparta Prague on a free transfer.

Sparta announced the move on Tuesday, with Rosicky signing a two-year contract with the club.

Rosicky, whose career with Arsenal was marred by frequent injuries, finished his 10 years with the Premier League club when his contract expired in the summer, having first arrived from Borussia Dortmund in 2006.

Considered one of the most talented Czech players of recent times, the 35-year-old spent three seasons with Sparta before moving to Dortmund in 2001 for what was then a record transfer fee in the Bundesliga.

Rosicky has won 105 caps for Czech Republic, and has yet to decide if he wants to continue with the national team.

The midfielder has recently been training with the Gunners to regain his fitness.
