Manchester United slipped to a second home defeat in as many games, after a humiliating 6-1 loss against Tottenham on Sunday.
The home side got off to the perfect start, when Bruno Fernandes expertly converted his penalty after just four minutes. However, United's joy was short-lived, as moments later a calamitous series of errors from Harry Maguire allowed Tanguy Ndombele to fire home from close range. Spurs doubled their lead not long later, with Son Heung-Min finding the corner of the net following good work by Harry Kane.
The day went from bad to worse for United when Anthony Martial was controversially sent off in the first half for striking Erik Lamela. Jose Mourinho's side took full advantage just before the break, with Son scoring his second, before Kane got in on the act.
Things didn't get much better for United in the second half, as Serge Aurier grabbed a goal of his own, before Kane popped up yet again with a powerfully driven penalty to make it 6-1.
An embarrassing afternoon all around for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, who now slip to 16th in the Premier League table.

Positives
There are very few positives that can be drawn from such a horrific performance, but one ray of light for United fans will be the effort levels of Marcus Rashford. He didn't stop working from the left side, as he continued to make excellent runs and tackles even when it became clear that the game was a lost cause.
Early on, Fernandes also looked creative and dangerous, but aside from that, little else is praiseworthy.
Negatives
Where to begin? From front to back, the entire team underperformed -- but the gulf in quality was most obvious in defence. Maguire's worrying form was compounded by Luke Shaw alongside him, whose positioning was baffling at times. Paul Pogba's effort levels sharply dropped off once the game was lost -- not what you want to see from your star midfielder.
Martial's petulant reaction to Lamela's provocation creates another selection headache for Solskjaer, who needs all the help he can get right now. A game to forget for the under-pressure boss, who is in desperate need of some good transfer news to lift the gloom that surrounds the club.

4 -- Defensively, United could hardly have been any worse. As the man who selects the backline, criticism must go to Solskjaer, as Shaw and Maguire looked completely hapless.
Shaw's days as the first-choice United left back appear to be numbered, while the manager's decision to stick by David De Gea in goal looks to be a mistake. His second half substitutions did very little to improve matters.
Player ratings (1-10; 10 = best, players introduced after 70 minutes get no rating)
GK David De Gea, 4 -- Should have done much better for both of Son's goals. He was slow to react for the first and allowed the second to easily pass through his legs.
DF Aaron Wan-Bissaka, 4 -- Arguably the best of United's defenders, which really isn't saying much. He continued to work hard late on in spite of the scoreline.
DF Eric Bailly, 4 -- A strange display from the returning centre-back, who started brightly with a handful of good blocks. However, as the game progressed, his obvious lack of fitness and match sharpness became abundantly clear.
DF Harry Maguire, 2 -- One of the Englishman's worst performances. An inexcusable effort -- he was unworthy of the United shirt.
DF Luke Shaw, 4 -- Was equally as culpable for United's shambolic defending as Maguire. His positional awareness was alarming at times, most notably for Tottenham's fifth goal.
MF Nemanja Matic, 4 -- This defeat was another reminder of Matic's limitations. Against a dynamic Spurs attack, he was well off the pace.
MF Paul Pogba, 4 -- The World Cup winner was dreadful throughout. Appeared to lose interest in the second half, encapsulated best by his lazy foul, which led to Kane's penalty.
MF Bruno Fernandes, 6 -- Scorer of the opening penalty, which was well taken, but ultimately meaningless. He looked dangerous, but never really got an opportunity to showcase his creativity.
FW Marcus Rashford, 6 -- Worked hard in a losing cause, chasing back and making clever runs. Struck the post in the first half.
FW Mason Greenwood, 5 -- Scarcely saw the ball as his side were slowly taken apart. Was replaced by Donny van de Beek after 70 minutes.
FW Anthony Martial, 3 -- Was red-carded in the 28th minute for hitting Lamela. While Lamela was lucky to avoid similar punishment as he also struck Martial, the 24-year-old was rightly dismissed for what was a brainless action.
Substitutes
MF Donny Van De Beek, 5 -- Introduced after 70 minutes, but could do little to stop the rot.
MF Scott McTominay, 6 -- Added some much-needed energy to the United midfield, but his influence was minimal.
MF Fred, 5 -- Wasteful in possession and looked slightly lost when defending his own goal.
