Chelsea struck three goals in the opening half-hour on the way to a 3-0 win away to Everton in the Women's Super League on Wednesday to close the gap over leaders Arsenal to two points with a game in hand.
Sam Kerr opened the scoring after seven minutes and Norway winger Guro Reiten made it 2-0 with a thunderous drive from the edge of the box eight minutes later, with Erin Cuthbert adding an even better long-distance strike on the half-hour mark.
The win puts Chelsea on 38 points with 16 of their 22 league games played, with Arsenal on 40 points having played a game more.

Ella Toone's bicycle kick goal looked to have given third-placed Manchester United a win away to West Ham United, but Grace Fisk's powerful stoppage-time header flew in off the far post to give the home side a share of the points after a 1-1 draw.
Manchester City made the most of that slip-up by beating Reading 2-0 at home to climb to 29 points, three behind rivals United.
Chelsea could go top of the table next Wednesday when they host Tottenham Hotspur, with Arsenal not back in league action until they face Spurs in the North London derby three days later.
