Saturday, May 13 marks the fifth anniversary of Manchester City's first Premier League triumph, which they won with arguably the most dramatic finish to an English season in history.
Here's a look back at the events that led to City finally ending their 44-year wait for a league title in the words of the people who were involved...
May 11: After beating Manchester United to return to the top of the Premier League and following up with a 2-0 win away to fifth-placed Newcastle United, City knew that a win over Queens Park Rangers would guarantee the title. However, QPR, managed by Mark Hughes -- Roberto Mancini's predecessor at the Etihad Stadium -- needed a victory to be certain of avoiding relegation. Mancini, Hughes and Sir Alex Ferguson, whose United side travelled to Sunderland, all held news conferences ahead of their games.
Mancini: "The players are very well. I think maybe they will feel pressure on Saturday, because they have an important game the next day. But it doesn't change our situation. We have to win an important game, a difficult game. It's a big game for City because it's the first time in a long time we can win the title. For me this is a fantastic experience, maybe another championship after Italy. But now there is only [one] thing that is important -- the game on Sunday. Nothing else is important."
Hughes: "This is not Mancini against Hughes or Hughes against Mancini, it's Manchester City against QPR -- one team playing for the title, the other against relegation. Our away form is the worst in the Premier League, and that doesn't bode well for our prospects of getting something out of the game, but it is a one-off game."
Ferguson: "The attitude will be that City have to win, but it's an enormous challenge for them too. The disappointment of losing the game would be unbelievable. It's untold what effect it could have on them."
May 13, 2 p.m. BST: The teams are announced. Mario Balotelli is on the bench for the first time since being sent off in a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal a month before, along with Micah Richards, who had been City's first-choice right-back for most of the season.
Richards: "I just knew that the win was the most important thing. Any other feelings that you had were put to the side. Coming from Manchester City's Academy at 14, and to potentially win a Premier League, it was get a win, and that was the most important thing."
3 p.m.: Kickoff
Defender Pablo Zabaleta: "We're only 90 minutes away from making history. If we succeed, it is probably the start of a new era for this club. We want to do it for our fans who I know have been waiting for a long time. The only thing I can say is that all the players will do their best against QPR, and we will do everything we can to win the title. We're very close, but nothing is done yet, so we'll see on Sunday."
Striker Carlos Tevez: "When you are putting an end to such a long run without winning a title, you are always going to have to do it the hard way."
3.23 p.m.: Wayne Rooney scores at Sunderland to put United two points clear at the top.
Ferguson: "I just told our players to get our own job done."
3.40 p.m.: Zabaleta scores and now City are heading for the title.
Goalkeeper Joe Hart: "Zaba put us 1-0 up, which almost felt like it was meant to be. He'd had a great season and he never scores -- I don't think he's scored many since, and he certainly hadn't scored many before. So when Zaba scored, I think there was big relief in the stadium, and we felt like it was our time."
4.08 p.m.: Djibril Cisse pounces on Joleon Lescott's weak header and scores to pull QPR level at 1-1.
Midfielder David Silva: "We made the game very hard for ourselves, but we kept battling until the end."
4.14 p.m.: QPR's Joey Barton is sent off for kicking Sergio Aguero, then tries to head-butt Vincent Kompany as he leaves the pitch.
Barton later tweeted: "Can do nothing but apologise to the players and the fans. Still don't think its a sending off. Tried to take 1 of their players with me.... Still not my proudest moment but who gives a f---, we are safe...and that is all that matters."
4.25 p.m.: Jamie Mackie scores to make it 2-1 to QPR.
Kompany: "For a minute it crossed my mind that the main thing for me to do now, if we lost, and you could imagine the scenes if we had lost -- people falling to the floor, crying and feeling like their lives would have been over -- I wanted to make sure that if we did lose the game, that I wasn't going to be like that. I was going to be prepared to fight back for next season and try to win it next season. That literally crossed my mind at that moment, and then you get back in the game and you try and try and somehow you get hope out of things."
Balotelli: "When I was on the bench, warming up with Micah [Richards] and they scored their second goal, Micah was upset, but I said: 'Don't worry, we will win.'"
4.49 p.m.: Balotelli looks to have equalised, but Paddy Kenny makes a great save. There will be five minutes of added time.
Kompany: "The first chance we missed, I think, was pretty near the end. Was it Mario? The keeper makes an unbelievable save from one of the corners and you feel: 'Why not? It's Man City. Why not?' And what happens after that is difficult to describe..."
4:51 p.m.: Edin Dzeko heads in David Silva's cross to make it 2-2. But the league table reads Manchester United, first, 89 points; Manchester City, second, 87 points.
Dzeko: "I remember before my goal, all the fans, they were physically at the stadium, but I think their minds were somewhere else, like my mind at that time, because even I was thinking about losing this championship in just one game. All the hard work that we did throughout our season just waiting for this, and you can lose everything in 90 minutes. And then when I scored that goal, I think everyone just kind of woke up and everyone was back at the stadium and starting to believe again even if there was only two or three minutes until the end."
4:54 p.m.: Aguero scores the winner three minutes into injury time. "AGUERROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO," screams commentator Martin Tyler.
Aguero: "My only thought was to hit the target, and it went in. For sure, it was the most important goal of my career -- you score a goal in the last minute to win the title. I'm not sure that is ever going to happen again."
Kompany: "When Sergio scored, it was one big blur. I remember jumping on top of him and he was crying on the floor."
4.56 p.m.: Full-time and City are crowned champions after a 3-2 win. Man United's 1-0 win over Sunderland doesn't matter, they finish second on goal difference. QPR stay up as Bolton failed to beat Stoke.
Ferguson: "Nobody expected that. Everybody expected City to win, but they did it against 10 men for half an hour and with five extra minutes to help them. I congratulate City on winning the league. Anybody who wins it deserves it, because it's a long haul. It wasn't our turn today."
Mancini: "This is an incredible moment. We wanted this title and we deserve to win this title. I have never seen anything like it. Five minutes from the end I didn't think we could win this game. It was a crazy season and a crazy last few minutes. After this, I feel 90 years old!"
Kompany: "You want to say it's the best moment of your life, after the birth of my child and my wedding, but if I'm honest then I would say please never again this way. Miracles do happen in Manchester. Only this time it's on this side of the road."
