Danilo reps in talks with Manchester United, Real Madrid join Vietto chase

All the latest and greatest rumours and tidbits on the transfer moves teams around the world will be making this summer.

Top Story: Danilo representatives in Manchester

Manchester United may be closing in on a deal for Porto full-back Danilo. Louis van Gaal & Co. are reportedly planning a massive summer spending spree, and Spanish outlet Sport reports the Champions League hero versus Basel may be in the budget.

The Brazilian would not come cheap for United, but according to the report the wheels are in motion with Danilo's representatives visiting Manchester to lay the groundwork for the deal, which would see the Red Devils pay a 36-million-pound release clause to pry the player away from his current home.

Barcelona had been another rumoured destination, but the Catalan club's inability to make transfer moves this summer have Danilo looking elsewhere as he seeks a move away from Portugal's top flight.

Vietto on Real radar

Call it a dress rehearsal of sorts, or maybe an audition. Whatever you call it, Villarreal's Luciano Vietto got the attention of Real Madrid during the teams' 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu over the weekend, according to a report by AS.com.

The 21-year-old striker has 11 goals for his club this season and, according to agent Jorge Cysterpiller, there is now official interest from Real president Florentino Perez. "There is a lot of competition for him. He could sign for Liverpool, we know that he is admired by the Reds, as well as Real Madrid and two Bundesliga clubs," Cysterpiller said.

Vietto is reported to have a 10-million-euro release clause in his contract, putting him well within any of the big European club's price range.

Xavi to NYCFC still in play?

New York-based agent Ron Waxman says a deal to bring Xavi to the Big Apple may still happen.

Dybala to 'swim' to Barcelona

Rumours surrounding Palermo's Paulo Dybala aren't going away, as both clubs from Manchester have expressed interest in signing the 21-year-old. That interest may all be for naught though if Barcelona come calling.

The Daily Mail report that Dybala, whose been dubbed the next Sergio Aguero, told Radio Belgrano that he'd "swim to Barcelona if they came knocking."

"I wouldn't even have to change into my swimming gear. After all, I would only have to cross the Mediterranean Sea," said the youngster, who has also drawn interest from Juventus, Napoli and Dortmund.

With 12 goals in 24 Serie A appearances this season, the interest is understandable. Palermo, who paid only 9 million pounds in 2012 for Dybala, would likely stand to turn a tidy profit on any move. Transfer Talk will be keeping a close eye on this one.

Bordeaux captain could cruise town

Senegalese centre-back Lamine Sane said he'd be all ears if Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool came calling this summer. The Bordeaux captain is quoted in a TalkSport report saying he has "always been drawn to Liverpool."

For now, the 27-year-old captain at Bordeaux says he's happy with the French club. As Liverpool continue their quest for recruits to fill the gap Steven Gerrard's departure will leave at Anfield next season, Sane's name appears to be in the mix.

Would he trade a nice glass of Bordeaux for a pint of Merseyside's finest? You'll have to wait and see.
