Manchester City announce a raft of big new signings ... robots

As the professional game continues on its unstoppable march into the future, Manchester City have announced that their latest batch of big-money signings are in fact robots.

Indeed, City have signed a partnership deal with Ubtech Robotics that will see a trio of humanoid bots employed to entertain fans by singing songs and performing dance routines in and around the Etihad on matchdays.

"Partnering with Ubtech, who are a world leader in their field and share our passion for innovation and cooperation, is a natural fit for Manchester City," said Tom Glick, the club's chief commercial officer.

Here's a sneak preview of what City fans can expect to see.

Stunning, no?

"Together, we can reinvent the fan experience both at the Etihad Stadium and online by using pioneering technology and putting fans at the heart of the partnership," Glick added.
