After having been knocked out of the tournament on the back of three straight defeats, the ultimately domitable Lions of Cameroon packed their bags and headed home on Tuesday, but not before Samuel Eto'o said an emotional farewell to a little fan he'd taken under his wing earlier in the tournament.

Local boy Pedro, 10, had been religiously stationed outside Cameroon's team hotel for several days and had even been handed a signed Cameroon shirt (which he is wearing in the video) by Eto'o last week, so impressed was the striker by the young Brazilian lad's support for his side.

As Eto'o emerged from the hotel to board the bus back to the airport, he and Pedro shared one last tearful goodbye hug.
