Manchester United have been following Hirving "Chucky" Lozano's progress since he was 16 years old, the president of his first club Pachuca has said.
As well as United, the PSV Eindhoven forward has been linked with a move to Barcelona and Napoli. Speaking after his side's 2-1 defeat to Tottenham in the Champions League in November, the Mexico international said a move to the Premier League would be "fabulous."
And Pachuca president Jesus Martinez said Lozano, 23, has been on United's radar for the past seven years.
"What I can say and guarantee is that Hirving has had a Manchester United scout watching him since he was 16," Martinez told ESPN Deportes. "They have his whole record.
"They have everything: videos, goals, behaviour, qualifications. They are one of the clubs with the best scouts and professionals in that area."
Another former Pachuca academy graduate potentially on the move this summer is Porto's Hector Herrera, who is reportedly close to joining Atletico Madrid.
And Martinez said it would be fantastic to see the pair make such a big leap.
"My ultimate dream would be to see 'Chucky' at United and Hector at Atletico," he added. "It would be my dream and theirs."
