Prolific Pars cruise past Forfar

Dunfermline continued their free-scoring start to the season as they brushed aside 10-man Forfar 3-0 at Station Park in the second round of the Petrofac Training Cup.Both sides went into the tie with 100 per cent records, Forfar having kept four successive clean sheets with the Pars rattling in 22 goals in the same period. But the contest turned in the 31st minute when Kevin Nicoll was sent off for a last-man tackle on Michael Moffat, who stepped up to convert the resulting spot-kick.The visitors doubled their lead a minute before the break when Faissal El-Bakhtaoui tucked in Michael Paton's cross from close range for his ninth goal in five appearances.Substitute Josh Falkingham saw his effort rebound off a post but Moffat did add a third eight minutes from time, turning in Ryan Williamson's cross from 12 yards.
