Transfer Talk: David Beckham eyes Lionel Messi for Miami; Paul Pogba back at Juventus?

The transfer window for all of Europe's big five leagues is closed, but that doesn't stop Transfer Talk from rummaging around about who will be moving where come January.

Beckham eyes Messi for Inter Miami in 2020

Lionel Messi is an ambitious target for David Beckham and his new franchise Inter Miami for their inaugural season in MLS in 2020.

The Barcelona superstar has a contract at the Nou Camp until 2021, but Beckham is thought to be keen to make a splash to announce Inter's arrival in the league.

Messi would be 32 at that point and a big-money offer at that stage of his career may appeal, report the Mail.

No contact has been made yet with Messi or his team, though the report claims he would be their ideal candidate as a statement signing.

Dybala offered to secure Pogba return

Juventus will look to offer Paulo Dybala to Manchester United in their bid to bring Paul Pogba back to Turin.

The Argentinian has been dropped since Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival and should Massimiliano Allegri consider him dispensable, the Old Lady will look to package together a player plus cash offer for their former player. With 'La Joya' rated at £100m, according to the Mirror, Juve would add £50m in cash to convince United to sell the French midfielder, making the deal worth £150m.

Pogba's future has been heavily discussed in recent weeks with his relationship with Jose Mourinho coming under scrutiny. For United to sell Pogba before seeing the very best of him, the deal would have to be highly tempting. And the opportunity to receive one of the finest forwards in return could make the deal acceptable to the fans.

Aleksandar Mitrovic emerging as Chelsea target

Chelsea are monitoring Aleksandar Mitrovic following his impressive run of form with Fulham.

The Mirror claim the Blues are considering a January move for the Serbian striker after an excellent start to the new campaign since clinching a permanent £22m move to Craven Cottage this summer.

Alvaro Morata's struggles and Olivier Giroud's age mean the Blues have some uncertainty over the long-term future at the position and Mitrovic could emerge as a solution.

Pep eyes Lyon stars

Pep Guardiola will receive a close-up of two key targets when Manchester City face Lyon in the Champions League.

Midfielders Lucas Tousart and Tanguy Ndombele will have extra attention paid to them next week at the Etihad.

The Star believe that Tottenham are also interested, but should Guardiola be suitably impressed when facing the duo, City may accelerate plans to move for the France under-21 internationals.

Tap-ins

-- Chelsea are set to enter negotiations with David Luiz over a new contract as he approaches January and the opportunity to openly discuss a move with other clubs, according to the Mirror. The Brazilian has quickly established himself in Maurizio Sarri's system and could now earn a new deal to extend his three years since returning to the club.

-- Daniele De Rossi is interested in moving to MLS and at 35 years old believes he can cut it in the United States for two years. The Roma captain told Il Romanista that an experience in America or with Boca Juniors would appeal to end his career.

-- Juventus were knocked back by Fiorentina this summer after tabling a €60m (£53.4m) bid for Federico Chiesa. Sport Mediaset report that Napoli, Inter, Chelsea and Manchester United are also keen on the 20-year-old.
