France fans flock to get new shirt with two World Cup winners' stars

France fans can now wear their pride in their nation's 2018 World Cup triumph firmly on their chests after a second star was added to the national team's kit -- and there have been big queues to be the one of the first to own it.

Les Bleus lifted the trophy for a second time in their history in Russia just over a month ago, and kit manufacturers Nike wasted no time in commemorating that victory on their official apparel.

"I'll keep it all my life. It's the second star! They made our dreams come true on the pitch," fan Brice Chevalier said as he queued to enter the French Football Federation's store in Paris.

Of course, Nike were beaten to the punch by Paul Pogba, who had two stars painted into his hair last week to mark his team's victory alongside the heroes of 1998, who won France's first World Cup on home soil.

Pogba was among the goal scorers as France earned their deuxieme etoile with a 4-2 win over Croatia at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on July 15, as Didier Deschamps became the third man to win the trophy as a player and a manager.

"I'm chuffed, I've been waiting a month for this moment," said another lifelong supporter, Jerome Cornec.
