ZURICH -- FIFA says Barbados has been eliminated from the 2018 World Cup qualifying tournament for fielding an ineligible player, and Aruba will advance instead. Barbados must forfeit a 1-0 win against Aruba in a the second leg of its CONCACAF second-round match on June 14. Barbados won the first leg 2-0. FIFA awarded Aruba a 3-0 second-leg victory by default. Aruba now advances 3-2 on aggregate. FIFA says Barbados fielded Hadan Holligan who should have served a one-match ban on June 14 for receiving yellow cards in two previous games.
