Man City play Steaua Bucharest, Porto vs. Roma in Champions League draw

Pep Guardiola faces a trip to Romania as Manchester City take on Steaua Bucharest in the final qualifying round of the Champions League.

City could have been handed a much tougher fixture against Serie A side Roma or Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco, but will be content with the draw and with the second leg being at the Etihad.

City will play the away leg on Tuesday, Aug. 16 with the return on Wednesday, Aug. 24.

The standout tie in the league route sees FC Porto meet Roma, while Villarreal and Monaco have also been drawn together. Swiss club Young Boys will take on Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach with Ajax vs. Champions League debutants Rostov of Russia completing the list.

In the champions route, Scottish club Celtic will be hopeful of booking their place in the group stage against Israeli minnows Hapoel Be'er-Sheva, while Irish hopefuls Dundalk will go to Poland to face Legia Warsaw.

Dundalk's home tie has been moved from their 4,500-capacity Oriel Park home to the Aviva Stadium, which can hold almost 52,000 fans. Manager Stephen Kenny said: "We're delighted that our next game will be at the Aviva Stadium.

"The players want to play on the biggest stage and in the national stadium. What we dream of in this League to play in the Aviva Stadium and to have it full -- that does not happen very often."
