Denzel Dumfries scored the winning goal against his former club as Heerenveen overcame Sparta Rotterdam 2-1 at the Abe Lenstra Stadion.The 21-year-old defender, who came through the ranks at Sparta, struck as the midway point of the second half approached to ensure his team recorded back-to-back home victories for the first time this season.The hosts had to come from behind to do it though after Julian Chabot put the Eredivisie's bottom club ahead after only three minutes.Former Charlton forward Reza Ghoochannejhad equalised after a quarter of an hour with his first goal since September before Dumfries scored in the 65th minute.

Mason Mount's second-half strike proved enough as Vitesse Arnhem returned to winning ways to condemn struggling Sparta Rotterdam to a sixth-straight Eredivisie defeat at Sparta-Stadion on Tuesday night.Mount had an attempt saved just four minutes in as the visitors searched for an opener but Sparta began to dominate soon after as Loris Brogno was denied three times following efforts from team-mates Fred Friday and Robert Muhren.But it was Vitesse that took the lead after 64 minutes as on-loan Chelsea midfielder Mount fired Milot Rashica's cross into the bottom corner for his fourth goal of the season to seal maximum points and leave their opponents bottom of the table on goal difference.
