Arsenal 1-2 Bournemouth: Listless Gunners drop further points in title race - as it happened

Arsenal's title hopes took a further blow as they fell to a disappointing home defeat to Bournemouth, opening the door for Manchester City to close the gap at the top.

Bournemouth were excellent on the day as goals from Junior Kroupi and Alex Scott sealed the deal for them as Viktor Gyökeres' equaliser was eventually cancelled out. The visitors, who dominated possession early, took the lead after superb work from veteran Ryan Christie in the middle, who played in Adrien Truffert in behind the Arsenal defence in the 17th minute. The leftback's cross took a deflection enroute Kroupi, who jumped in for the tap-in at the far post.

They remained in control till a Christie handball saw Gyokeres equalise from the spot in the 35th minute. It remained 1-1 as Arsenal seemed to slowly claw their way back into control of the game.

In the 74th minute, though, Bournemouth strung together the move of the match to floor Arsenal. Kroupi chested a long ball down before playing substitute Harry Brooks. An immediate ball into the ball to Evanilson was then brilliantly touched into the path of Scott, who ghosted in behind, sat Raya down and calmly passed it into the opposite corner.
