Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski has held Real Madrid talks - agent

Robert Lewandowski's agent has confirmed the Bayern Munich striker has held talks over a move to Real Madrid.

Madrid have been linked with a move for Lewandowski, 27, for several months, with AS publishing a picture of one of his agents, Cezary Kucharski, in the VIP box at the Bernabeu in December.

Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said at the time that they were "in no way nervous" about the speculation, but Kucharski has now confirmed that talks have taken place.

"Real Madrid approached us a few weeks ago," Kucharski told the print edition of Der Spiegel. "We have listened to everything and informed Bayern that we have held talks with Madrid."

Lewandowski joined Bayern from Borussia Dortmund in 2014 but he said he would be interested in a change of scenery after having spent the bulk of his career in the Bundesliga.

The Poland international told Der Spiegel: "I've been in Germany for six years, have won everything here. Sometimes you have to consider whether it makes sense to try something new."

Lewandowski finished 2015-16 as the Bundesliga's top scorer, becoming the first non-German to reach 30 goals.
