TOP STORY: Man City join Chelsea in Lukaku chase
Manchester City have joined the race to bring Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku back to the Premier League, according to Calciomercato.

City are searching for a new forward with the imminent departure of Sergio Aguero, who is to leave at the end of his contract in the summer.
Aguero has already announced his farewell, and with Lukaku having scored 27 goals in 40 games this season, City believe they'd be replacing one prolific striker with another. Lukaku is proven in England after stints at Everton and Manchester United.
City manager Pep Guardiola is also keen on Erling Haaland and Harry Kane, but Lukaku could be the easiest of the three deals to complete.
Inter are likely to play hard ball, though, as they're unwilling to part with their star striker. Club executives have stated that they're not willing to listen to offers for the Belgian 27-year-old.
Another one of Lukaku's former clubs, Chelsea, have also shown interest and are hoping to take him back to Stamford Bridge, according to The Sun.
The player himself appears to be reluctant to return to the Premier League, and instead wants to continue at Inter as they prepare to celebrate a first Serie A title in 11 years.
But Calciomercato insists Inter are not willing to listen to any proposals for the their star striker.

21.35 BST: Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester City have agreed to sign 18-year-old winger Dario Ariel Sarmiento from La Plata club Estudiantes for a fee of $6m plus $12m in add-ons, with the Argentina youth international set to join up in June.
20.28 BST: Chelsea are prepared to offload Tammy Abraham this summer with West Ham United, Aston Villa and Newcastle United among a number of clubs interested in the 23-year-old striker, sources have told ESPN's James Olley. Read the full story.
19.21 BST: Juventus are willing to allow 26-year-old midfielder Adrien Rabiot to leave the club this summer, two years after signing as a free agent, and in addition to Barcelona, Chelsea are also interested in recruiting the France international and partnering him with international teammate N'Golo Kante, according to Calciomercato.

17.07 BST: The Times reports that Barcelona are closing in on a 10-year contract with Lionel Messi, which will see him continue playing for the Blaugrana in the short term, be a club ambassador while fulfilling his dream of playing in Major League Soccer, and then return to Barca as an executive once the 33-year-old's playing career comes to a close.
16.00 BST: USMNT defender Cameron Carter-Vickers is set to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, with the club wanting in the region of £10m for the defender, sources have told ESPN.
Carter-Vickers came through Spurs' academy but has spent much of the last few seasons out on loan. He is impressing at Bournemouth in the Championship and there is interest from the playoff hopefuls in bringing him in on a permanent deal, sources have told ESPN.
There is also interest from Newcastle and Anderlecht following his eye-catching form for Bournemouth. He has played every minute of their last 17 matches and is integral to Bournemouth's push to get promoted back to the Premier League.
15.19 BST: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said the club's transfer plans this summer will not be affected if they miss out on Champions League qualification.
Liverpool are four points off the top four after slipping to late draws against Leeds United and Newcastle United in recent weeks.
"The Champions League is massive, especially financially for the club," he told a news conference. "If we cannot make that, that is not good. Definitely not.
"But I don't think it will change anything. The situation was difficult before and it is difficult after. It is always difficult."
14.30 BST: Barcelona sounded out the possibility of signing David Alaba but realised he was committed to joining Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, various sources have told ESPN.
Alaba, 28, is out of contract in June and told Bayern Munich earlier this season of his intention to end his 13-year association with the club.
Barca are close to finalising a move for Manchester City's Eric Garcia, whose deal also expires this summer, but coach Ronald Koeman would also have supported the arrival of a more experienced defender like Alaba to ease the pressure on Gerard Pique.
13.48 BST: Former Manchester United wing-back Ashley Young has been hotly tipped to head back to England next season, returning to the club where he started his career -- Watford. With the Hornets promoted back to the Premier League, Young's experience could be vital in staying in the top flight.
But Young has proved to be an important figure in Inter Milan's march to the Serie A title this season, and the Daily Mirror reports the Nerazzurri are ready to offer him a new deal.
The 35-year-old may have to decide whether to stay at the San Siro or return to his boyhood club.
13.00 BST: Sergi Roberto's future at Barcelona is hanging in the balance, according to Diario AS. Roberto, 29, is out of contract in the summer of 2022 and there has not yet been a breakthrough during talks to extend his stay at Camp Nou.
A report earlier this week suggested his agent, Josep Maria Orobitg, was left unimpressed by Barca's offer to extend the Spain international's terms by just one more year, until 2023.
And now AS claims that Roberto could pay the price for his versatility. Ilaix Moriba has moved ahead of him in the pecking order for a midfield position and the potential arrival of Real Betis' Emerson could mean he's also unwanted at right-back.
Barca maintain an option to sign Emerson for €9m this summer as part of the agreement that brought the Brazilian to Europe in 2019. He would provide competition for Sergino Dest but can also play as part of a back three.
12.17 BST: Tuttomercatoweb reports that Leicester City could be about to bolster their squad for a probable return to the Champions League next season with the signing of Robin Gosens from Atalanta. Only last summer the Foxes raided the Serie A club to sign fellow full-back Timothy Castagne, and now they could return to sign another.
Gosens, 26, is a full Germany international and would add much-needed depth to the Leicester squad.
A fee of €25m is mooted, though competition could reportedly come from Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Manchester City.
11.30 BST: Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez has told TV3 that former teammate Lionel Messi should sign a new contract with Barcelona. Suarez left Barca for Atletico for a nominal fee last summer, but the Uruguayan doesn't think Messi should also find a new challenge.
Messi's contract expires at the end of the season and a host of elite clubs are waiting to see if he decides to stay at Camp Nou.
"If Messi asked me as a friend, I would tell him I don't see him anywhere other than Barca, it wouldn't be good for him," Suarez said. "He has to take the decision himself.
"The best would be for him to have a final three, four, five or six years at the place where he's felt most happy. Barca is the team that have given him everything and he too has given everything for Barca."
10.43 BST: Atletico Madrid have held talks with Saul Niguez and his representatives over the midfielder's future at the club, multiple sources told ESPN.
Saul, 26, has lost his status as an automatic first-choice pick for coach Diego Simeone this season, with midfield alternatives Marcos Llorente and Thomas Lemar taking more prominent roles in the team.
Sources close to the player told ESPN they were "still discussing" plans for this summer, after reports in Spain that Atletico would consider a sale. Saul's contract runs until 2026 after signing a long-term extension in 2017, when he looked set to become one of Atletico's most important players.

09.58 BST: Villarreal would like to hold on to on-loan Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth, sources have told ESPN. Foyth, who went off injured in the club's 2-1 Europa League win over Arsenal on Thursday night, is on a season-long loan with an option to buy the 23-year-old. Sources told ESPN that coach Unai Emery values the Argentine's versatility.
Villarreal are also set to sign Real Betis defender Aissa Mandi on a free transfer when his contract expires. The club are planning for the future after being made aware of interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid in centre-back Pau Torres, as reported earlier today, although they are yet to receive a formal offer for the Spain international.
09.16 BST: Speculation is rife about the future of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, but the Daily Star reports that another of the club's main men is ready to commit. Son Heung-Min, 28, is under contract until the end of the 2022-23 season, and has recorded 15 goals and nine assists in the Premier League this campaign.
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid were believed to be tracking the South Korea international, but he is set to extend his stay in North London.
08.30 BST: Manchester United want to complete the signing of Villarreal centre-back Pau Torres before the start of Euro 2020. The Red Devils reportedly lead the race to sign the Spain international, who is expected to make the squad for this summer's competition. Real Madrid are also monitoring Torres as a possible signing should Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos leave the club.
Torres has made 38 appearances for Villarreal in all competitions. According to reports, United are already in advanced talks with Villarreal to land the 24-year-old. Villarreal have placed a €65m price tag on Torres, who has a contract with the Yellow Submarine until June 2024.

- Philippe Coutinho will join Everton this summer for a fee of £35m, reports the The Sun. The Toffees are said to be so confident of landing the Brazilian that they're already house hunting for him. Boss Carlo Ancelotti is looking to partner 28-year-old Coutinho with James Rodriguez, with Coutinho returning to the city of his best form. Coutinho has struggled to reach the heights he enjoyed at Liverpool since leaving the Merseyside club for Barcelona. He has subsequently won a Treble on loan at Bayern Munich but was denied a permanent transfer because of his injuries.
- Borussia Dortmund have joined the race to sign defender Ben White from Brighton & Hove Albion, reports the The Sun. White is currently being monitored by Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Arsenal, Brighton are believed to be willing to listen to offers of £35m for White. However, Dortmund are looking to add to their English contingent of Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho. White, 23, has played 34 times this season and has been one of the Seagulls' most impressive players.
- Aston Villa are keeping tabs on Tammy Abraham's situation, with Chelsea open to the idea of letting the striker leave the club, reports the Daily Mirror. Abraham was a big hit during a loan spell with Villa in which he scored 26 goals during the 2018-19 promotion-winning season. Villa tried to sign Abraham when they returned to the Premier League, but the Blues weren't willing to part with the England international. Now, though, the Blues are said to be willing to listen to offers of £40m.
- Dani Ceballos is keen on a return to Spain but not to Real Madrid, according AS, as the midfielder looks to kickstart his career. The Spanish playmaker appears to be ruling out a stay at Arsenal and instead could move to either Atletico Madrid or former club Real Betis. What's clear is that Ceballos is keen to avoid any further loan moves. Ceballos, 24, wants to settle at a club where he can play an important role. That doesn't appear to be at Real Madrid, and so Ceballos is willing to listen to offers from other La Liga clubs.
- Lionel Messi has reportedly told Barcelona chiefs he'll stay beyond the end of the season, but with conditions. This is according to RTVE, which believes Messi has told new president Joan Laporta that he will stay after having been impressed by boss Ronald Koeman. However, Messi has expressed his desire for Barca to spend in an effort to become a European superpower once more. A two-year contract has been discussed, though there has yet to be an official offer.
