Source: U.S. youth star Sebastian Saucedo joins Pumas

U.S. youth international Sebastian "Bofo" Saucedo has completed his move to Liga MX side Pumas on a free transfer, signing a two-and-a-half year contract, a Mexico-based source has confirmed to ESPN FC.

Journalist Vladimir Garcia was the first to report Saucedo's move to Pumas, which finished in 13th place during the 2019 Torneo Apertura, outside of the playoff places.

Saucedo, 22, was out of contract with Real Salt Lake, which signed him as a Homegrown player back in 2014. Other than a one-year loan spell with Liga MX side Veracruz back in 2016, Saucedo had spent the entirety of his professional career in the RSL organization, making 90 league and cup appearances with the first team, scoring six goals. He also spent time with RSL's reserve side, Real Monarchs, in the second tier USL Championship.

Saucedo was part of the U.S. under-20 team that took part in the FIFA U20 World Cup, appearing in three games. He was been included in the U.S. U23 team that will attempt to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
