Fernando Llorente will join Napoli on a two-year deal, sources have told ESPN FC.
The former Spain international is free agent, after leaving Tottenham in the summer. Clubs from Russia and Mexico expressed an interest as well as Brazilian side Flamengo, Argentina's Boca Juniors, Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, Schalke from the Bundesliga and Napoli's Serie A rivals Fiorentina.

However, he has opted for a move to Napoli because he wanted to play Champions League football.
Sources have told ESPN FC that Spurs had the option to extend Llorente's contract but declined. His move to Napoli is pending a medical which will take place on Saturday.
Llorente, 34, scored important goals against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League round of 16 and Manchester City in the quarterfinals which Tottenham won away goals, while he was key to Lucas Moura's winner against Ajax in the semifinals, as Spurs reached their first-ever final last term.
He will return to Serie A, where he won two Serie A titles at Juventus before joining Sevilla on loan.
According to ESPN FC sources, Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti was key in bringing Llorente to San Paolo, having been impressed with his performances while at Juve.
