Former Man United midfielder Anderson joins Turkish second-tier side Adana Demirspor

Former Manchester United midfielder Anderson has completed a move to Adana Demirspor, the Turkish second-tier club have confirmed.

Anderson, who won the Champions League as well as four Premier League titles while at Old Trafford, had been without a club since January when he left Internacional following a three-year spell. He spent part of 2017 on loan at Coritiba, and now joins Demirspor, who narrowly avoided relegation to the Turkish third tier last season.

Anderson signed for United from Porto in the summer of 2007 and was seen as a player with huge potential. He played an important squad role in helping the club win the Premier League and Champions League in 2008 -- scoring a penalty in the final shootout win over Chelsea -- and claimed the Golden Boy award for the best young player on the planet that year.

He struggled with consistency under Sir Alex Ferguson, but did enough to earn a start in the following season's Champions League final following the suspension of Darren Fletcher, which Barcelona won 2-0.

Anderson's form continued to vary for the rest of the Scot's tenure, as he added another three Premier League medals to his collection, and it was David Moyes, Ferguson's replacement, who eventually loaned him to Fiorentina in January 2014.

The Brazilian made two appearances under Louis van Gaal in the 2014-15 season -- a 4-0 defeat to Milton Keynes Dons in the League Cup and 0-0 draw at Burnley in the Premier League -- before returning to his home town of Porto Alegre, to join Internacional on a free in January 2015, ending his eight-year spell with the United.

As well as four Premier League titles and the Champions League, he won a League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and Community Shield in England.

Anderson also won a Serie B title with hometown club Germio -- Internacional's arch-rivals -- before moving to Porto. In Portugal, he added two league titles, a Portuguese Cup and Portuguese Supercup.

At international level, he earned eight caps for Brazil was part of side which won the 2007 Copa America.
