FC Dallas signed Brazilian left-back Marquinhos Pedroso with Targeted Allocation Money, the team announced Thursday.

Pedroso, who joins from Brazil side Figueirense, won't be able to suit up for Dallas until the secondary transfer window opens on July 10.

Dallas' first game after the window opens is July 14 against the Chicago Fire.

Pedroso's signing was expected after he posted pictures of himself wearing an FC Dallas uniform on Instagram last week. He was in Dallas that day for a physical.

Pedroso, 24, has played for teams in Brazil, Turkey and Hungary. He spent last season on loan to Hungarian side Ferencvaros.

Dallas leads the Western Conference with 35 points after rallying for two late goals in a 3-2 victory over MLS-best Atlanta on Wednesday night.
