Burnley sign Norwich's Robbie Brady for club-record transfer fee

Burnley have signed Norwich's Robbie Brady for a club-record fee, reportedly around £13 million.

Brady, who impressed at Euro 2016 with Republic of Ireland, had been keen to move back to the Premier League with Bournemouth, Leicester City, Newcastle United and Aston Villa all linked with moves.

But Burnley won the race for a player who can operate at left midfield or left-back and a statement read: "Burnley Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Republic of Ireland international Robbie Brady from Norwich City for an undisclosed club record fee."

Brady started 34 Premier League games for the Canaries last season after signing from Hull City and has signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the option of another year.
