Arsenal youngster Tafari Moore loaned to FC Utrecht

Arsenal have sent young full-back Tafari Moore on loan to FC Utrecht for the rest of the season and he is set to feature for the Dutch club's second team.

Moore, 19, has spent time training with both FC Utrecht and Jong FC Utrecht and impressed sufficiently to secure a year-long loan.

He needed surgery last season but was a regular for the Arsenal under-21s after his return, making 15 appearances, and also played in the UEFA Youth League with the U19s.

Moore, who joined the Arsenal academy as a 12-year-old, also earned his first call-up to England's U19 team recently, and will now link up with Jong FC Utrecht, who play in the Dutch second tier.

"We would like to wish Tafari well for his time in the Netherlands," Arsenal said in a statement.

Moore is the third defender to be sent out on loan by the club this season, along with Julio Pleguezuelo and Stefan O'Connor. The deal also continues a trend under Dutch academy director Andries Jonker of Arsenal sending players to the Netherlands to gain experience.
