Romanian media say money stolen from players' hotel in Kazakhstan

Romanian media say money and other objects were stolen from the national team's hotel before a World Cup qualifier in Kazakhstan.

TV network DolceSport, which had the broadcasting rights for the match, reported that players said items were missing after a morning training session ahead of Tuesday's qualifier in the Kazakh capital, Astana, where the teams drew 0-0.

Andrei Vochin, personal adviser to Romanian Football Federation chairman Razvan Burleanu, told DolceSport that "we didn't find out who stole the money and all the objects. Anyway, we don't have much hope."

DolceSport reported that 12 players had cash stolen, while the team masseur said his electronic tablet had been taken.
