Buksa's 12th goal of the season tied him with Gustavo Bou for the team lead. Matt Turner made two saves for the Revolution (19-4-5, 62 points), who have gone undefeated over their last five matches (4-0-1).

New England had already clinched its third consecutive playoff berth and set a franchise record for victories with its win against the Chicago Fire on Wednesday.

Daryl Dike had the lone goal for Orlando City in the 18th minute. Pedro Gallese allowed two goals on two shots for the Lions (10-8-8, 38 points), who dropped their fourth straight match following a seven-game unbeaten run.

Buksa tapped in Bou's cross into the goal area with his right foot to beat Gallese and give the Revolution an early 1-0 lead. Dike pulled the Lions level nine minutes later with his fourth goal of the year with a right-footed strike that bounced in off Turner.

New England went ahead for good on Orlando City's own goal after Buksa battled into the goal area and left-footed in a side feed from Tajon Buchanan that deflected off of Schlegel.

Nani was denied an equalizer on his 75th minute penalty kick as the Lions top goal scorer's right-footed shot down the middle bounced off Turner's left knee and sailed out over the crossbar.

It was the first meeting between the Lions and Revolution since New England eliminated Orlando City with a 3-1 win in last year's Eastern Conference semifinals.

Orlando City caps its three-game road trip at Nashville on Wednesday night while New England visits CF Montreal.
