Wright and Bolarinwa on target as Sutton edge out Dagenham

Sutton extended their unbeaten run to three National League games with a narrow 2-1 victory over Dagenham at Gander Green Lane.
With both sides in the running for promotion to League Two this season, it proved to be an uneventful first half as Craig Eastmond fired his close-range shot over the crossbar and Jamie Collins hit the woodwork as the hosts searched for an opener.
The U's finally broke the deadlock after 57 minutes when Tommy Wright slotted home his 10th goal of the season before former Grimsby midfielder Tom Bolarinwa celebrated his permanent switch by heading home Harry Beautyman's corner to double Sutton's lead four minutes later.
Fejiri Okenabirhie, who had a goal-bound effort kept out 10 minutes before the break, handed the visitors a lifeline with six minutes remaining as he tapped in Jake Howells' header to reduce the deficit but the home side held on.
