Promotion chasing Mansfield pegged back again

League Two automatic-promotion hopefuls Mansfield let a lead slip at home for the third game in a row as they drew 1-1 with Colchester.
Brandon Comley cancelled out Kane Hemmings' first-half opener to leave the Stags fifth, three points off the top three.
Hemmings fired Mansfield in front in the 22nd minute. The goal stemmed directly from goalkeeper Conrad Logan's long kick down the centre, Hemmings darting in between defender Tom Eastman and keeper Sam Walker to lift the ball into the empty net.
But the visitors ended the half strongly and, after Drey Wright had seen a well-struck shot turned aside by Logan, Kurtis Guthrie watched Mel Benning get back to hook his finish away before it crossed the line after he had been put clear by Sammie Szmodics' fine ball down the centre.
United levelled six minutes after the break as Comley strode into the box on the right and sent a low finish across Logan and inside the far post.
Kane Vincent-Young got up to nod a goalbound Paul Digby header against the crossbar from a home corner in the 69th minute.
And a minute from time Walker's save denied Benning and Jacob Mellis saw his follow-up blocked on the line.
