Donny down Bradford to improve chances of staying up

Doncaster took a major step towards securing their Sky Bet League One survival by beating Bradford 2-0.John Marquis' second-half double was enough to separate the sides and deliver another blow to Bradford's fading play-off hopes.City had the better of the first half and it took a Joe Wright clearance off the line to prevent Timothee Dieng from heading them in front early on.And Doncaster keeper Marko Marosi produced a smart double save to twice deny Romain Vincelot.Just before half-time Alex Gilliead dragged a shot wide on the turn.Play evened out in the second half and Doncaster finally broke the deadlock on 75 minutes when Marquis charged into the box to meet a superb cross from Niall Mason and plant a bullet header beyond Colin Doyle.Although Bradford had piled on the pressure in search of an equaliser, Doncaster made sure of the points two minutes into stoppage time.Breaking out, Alfie Beestin delivered a fine crossfield pass which released Marquis and he slammed through the legs of Doyle.
